2008 SITE LOCATIONS & STATUS: COMPLETED Holycross Family - 44 S. Cedar Street, Troy A four-bedroom, tri-level house was built for Sonia Holycross and her 5 daughters. Gary Lensch, construction supervisor. House is completed. Landscaping, porch steps, sidewalks, and curbs - completed! Staley Family - 725 E. Walnut Street, Covington Teresa (Tess) Staley has waited a long time for a building lot in Covington for her family. Tess is not only a single parent of two teenagers, but she is raising her family while confined to a wheelchair. Her family support system is in Covington so to remain independent she needs to be in Covington. There were many problems in securing a build-able lot, but it ifinally happened!
Sponsored by the Charlotte R. Schmidlapp Fund, this house is being built for Angie Lewis, her 11 year old son and 5 year old daughter. The house was dedicated on July 13. It was built by all women volunteers.
Kenton-Minkins Family - 436 Orr Street, Piqua The members of Home Builders Association of Miami County donated their skills to construct this house for Sarah Kenton and Larry Minkins and their sons, Larry Minkins, Jr. and Brayden Kenton. Bart Denlinger was the construction supervisor. |
