VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!!!

Construction

Project Supervisors

Individuals with construction supervising experience is needed to supervise construction of one home or one phase of construction of a home. May need to demonstrate job to others.

Group Leaders  

Individuals with experience in a specific area of construction are needed to work with volunteers on the project site in their area of expertise. May need to show inexperienced volunteers how to do the work correctly.

Construction Committee Members

Our construction committee needs people to help insure quality of construction, recruit skilled project leaders, procure materials and help the project supervisor coordinate all phases of construction.

Volunteer Workers

Individuals are needed for Wednesday and Saturday workdays at our construction site. All skill levels and talents are important to complete these projects. Call the office for upcoming events and project schedules.

Church Relations

If you are excited about the role that churches play in showing God's love through action in the Habitat mission, then join Habitat on this committee in helping expand our relations with area churches.

Worship and Praise

Chairperson, Sandy Lensch needs members to help coordinate groundbreaking ceremonies, house dedications, board meeting devotions, church presentations and our annual anniversary celebration concert.

Publicity

People are asked to join this committee to assist in raising public awareness of substandard housing within our community and the mission of our organization. This committee also works with the publicizing of fund-raising events.

Application Review Committee

Chairperson, Reverend Steve Gellatly, is looking for people to help the committee review applications and interview families for homeownership. This is an important and confidential position.

Resource Development

The executive Board is seeking innovative and energetic people on this committee to develop and coordinate fund-raising events.

Family Nurture

Once families are approved, nurturers or family support partners are essential to a successful Habitat experience. The committee is looking for people who can make an 18-month commitment. The time involved each month varies throughout the partnering.

Manna Gatherers

A manna coordinator is needed to help recruit groups, businesses, churches, and organizations to provide lunches for our Saturday workdays.

Uncle Ralph's Restore

Uncle Ralph's is a new & used resale store. The profits benefit Habitat for Humanity. Restore Manager, Ralph Craig, is seeking volunteers for the following positions:

    • Inventory Transporters
    • Retail Specialists
    • Special Project Assistants

Store hours are:

        Friday 9am-6pm        Saturday 9am-3pm.
